I watched Claudio and his son Tonito fish cuddle fish by the port of Comillas. I painted them several times and we became friends.

In a clear morning one can see the Picos de Europa from La Casa Santa, my family's lifelong home in Comillas. This view has been a constant in my life because I could see it from my childhood bedroom. It floods me with fond memmories and fills me with joy to paint it. The valley has not changed much except for the absence of cows and horse driven wagons and the swishing sound of the scyths as they cut the grass.
